How graduated pricing works
Many vendors charge the entire school a single rate based on its enrollment band, so crossing a threshold reprices every student. At 501 students, the whole school is billed at the 501 to 1,000 rate. With graduated pricing, each tier's rate applies only to the students in that tier. Your 501st student is billed at $4.00, and the price of the first 500 does not change.

What is the $1 entry fee?
The $1 fee is a one-time entry price for a ReqPath account. It gives your school access to every feature, so you can set up your catalog, prerequisite tree, and settings before adding students. Charging a small fee also prevents automated and disposable accounts from registering schools.
How does graduated pricing work?
Each tier's rate applies only to the students within that tier. Your first 500 students are billed at $4.50 each, the next 500 at $4.00 each, students 1,001 to 2,000 at $3.50 each, and all students above 2,000 at $3.00 each. Going from 500 to 501 students raises your bill by exactly $4.00, which is the tier 2 rate for that one student.
What if we need to add students during the year?
Your yearly seats are an automatically renewing subscription priced with the graduated tiers. If you need more seats before renewal, you can add students during the year for a one-time fee at your current tier rate. This fee does not use graduated pricing and is not added to your recurring bill. At renewal, set your yearly seat count to include every student.
How are students counted?
We count every active student account at your school. If you remove students during the year, your renewal price decreases accordingly. Staff and administrator accounts are free.
Is billing monthly or annual?
Billing is annual only. Annual billing keeps pricing simple, avoids the administrative work of tracking monthly enrollment changes, and produces a single invoice for your finance office to approve.
Can we switch from the trial to a paid plan later?
Yes. Your catalog, prerequisite tree, and settings carry over. On the Billing page of your dashboard, select "Set up yearly plan" and you will be invoiced at the current tier rate. Once the plan is active, you can invite students.
Are all features included on every plan?
Yes. Every plan includes every feature, including the AI advisor, scheduling, branding, and the parent portal. Plans differ only in the number of students.
